Braking shudder at 55 mph and higher caused by apparent rotor warping. This warpage has happened several times; therefore, rotors have been turned several times to present at which time now i needed replacement. With new replacement rotors it is still exhibiting violent shudder. Technical service bulletin has addressed this problem with suggestion to replace another item as well, a caliper assembly but there is no…

1999 jeep grand cherokee limited. Have had numerous incidents with the brake rotors warping. I've replaced them twice up to this point and they are requiring a 3rd fix. Currently the vehicle has 64,000 miles on it. I'm averaging 20,000 miles between replacements. Jeep knows about this problem since the brake rotors are on a national backorder but i was told by the service manager that my problems were an "isolated…

1999 jeep grand chereokee, front disc brakes keep going out. Rotors goes out of round, about every 15000 miles, due to poor rotor and caliper design. Jeep (and dealers) know this is a problem because there is tsb regarding the issue with the fix being new rotors and calipers of a different design, but they won't do anything to fix it, without costing $500+ to the consumer. Accident waiting to happen.*ak

1999 jeep cherokee. Warped and continous problems with rotors and calipers. Problem continues shortly after having them fixed repeatedly. The pulsations at high speeds(55mph) are violent.saw the same/similar complaints by many others. Dealer says chrysler not responsible. How many times can you afford to fix the same problem? Something that has no remedy must be a design fault.*ak

Have had the rotors replaced five times at 48,000 miles. The vehicle's front end shakes uncontrollably when brakes are applied at 50 mph. At low speeds pulsation and vibration in the front end occurs. Unacceptable that every 3-5000 miles i need to replace the rotors and pads. I cannot afford that. When is chrysler/jeep going to rectify the problem? When enough deaths or law suits are filed?*ak

I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee ltd with 40,000 miles. Recently the brakes began to fail. The dealer says the 1999 design is defective brakes are too small for vehicle weight.
