Left rear tire failed and blew out at 70mph. The good thing is the tire deflated rapidly with no loss of control of the vehicle. On inspection of tire it was found that the inner side wall had a rectangular rip/patch from the rim to the tread. There was no debris or other road hazards when the tire failed. Tire failed at sidewall for unknown reason. No road hazard damage found. No tread damage found. Tire jack failed twice, resulting in near-injury to state trooper assisting us.
