Car will pop out of gear and into neutral while driving at speeds under 60mph. Car has been owned by me since it had 9000 miles and has been serviced regularly and is a low mileage car. Desintegrating door panels, issues with transmission that could cause loss of control in traffic, what next. Chrysler maintains that there are no recalls for these known safety hazards. Crazy. When attempting to exit the vehicle the door handle cracked the door panel and released the door handle from the door leaving it unusable and the door unable to be exited. Was attempting to flea vehicle and was trapped inside due to weak plastic failing in the door handle. In the event there was a fire or even toxic gas in the car cabin, there would have been a fatality. Extremely unsafe and should be recalled. *tr

Driver side interior door trim behind the door handle has broken away. Without the trim the door handle does not remain in the correct position. Door handle has to be set back into proper position before door can be opened. This is concerning when i consider exiting the vehicle quickly in an emergency. Also the handle/trim condition is deteriorating and it won't be long before the handle fails completely. *tr

During the month of may 2011 the plastic interior door handle recesses began to crack and ultimately the pieces literally began to fall of the vehicle rendering the door handles useless when attempting to open the door from inside as door handles no longer had a pivot point to operate against when attempting to pull the interior door handle in an effort to operate the door latch mechanism. This failure makes it…

I have a 2006 jeep grand cherokee limited with only 50k miles and the door panels on 2 doors so far have broken out and now you can't get out of the vehicle from the inside. I have already had both front door panels/handles replaced. The plastic around the door handles is very thin and cheap and breaks very easily. This is a major safety concern for me especially with children. If these door handle/panels break then…

Every time we have a rain storm, the front floor driver's side gets soaking wet. I have to lay down towels to dry it and then let the sun do the rest. It has leaked since i purchased it in 2010 but keep waiting for a recall. I found a recall for a 2007 jeep like mine for the same leakage problem. It appears to come down the tract on the outside and runs in under the carpet on the driver's side only. I don't want it…

Purchased a new 2006 grand chrokee. After i reaching 1,200 miles the vehicle began to shudder or surge, almost feeling like a miss. This may happen at any speed, and in any driving condition, but especially between 35-60 mph. Believe it or not it was worse when it was cloudy and cool or damp. I have tried everything that i knew to get the dealer and the manufacturer to repair this. It has been in the shop or down…
