It appears that there is a bug in the programming of the vehicle. When i either use the remote, or the button in the trunk area to close the lift gate, as i walk to the front of the vehicle and open the door, the liftgate stops closing and returns to open. It doesn't happen 100% of the time but greater than 75% the liftgate will stop closing when i open the front door.
