My transmission is going out. I just bought the car in january and i've been having a transmission problem for several months. I heard there was a recall on jeep cherokee transmissions. My car won't accelerate anymore when i drive. It won't switch gears and rpm will shoot up to 3 or 4. It does this every time it tries to switch gears.

The first was about 2 months ago when this problem happened with the driver side window. These have each cost me 300 dollars.
